Saint Francis: Troubadour
of God's Peace
Barefoot and clad in a ragged gray tunic, Leonardo Defilippis
brings to life Saint Francis, "the little poor man of Assisi,"
whose holiness and faith continue after 800 years to draw
men and women to a more perfect imitation of Christ.
"A talented actor explodes onto the screen in
a simple, honest portrayal of a radical saint." - Christianity Today

The Gift of Peace
In this inspiring one-man performance, Leonardo
Defilippis captures the life and powerful meaning of Christ's
infancy and early ministry. This unique dramatization
is taken verbatim from scripture and the music, costume,
and set create an ancient Jewish atmosphere in which Defilippis
transforms himself into the aged Zechariah, the trusting
and humble young Mary, the delightful Peter, and our Beloved
Jesus.

Maximilian: Saint
of Auschwitz
"God tested them and found them worthy of
Himself; like gold in the furnace, He tried them, and
like a sacrificial burnt offering He accepted them." (Wis. 3: 5-6)
This man's story contains dramatic events sufficient for
several plays. Author and actor Leonardo Defilippis has
brilliantly condensed a wide-ranging and heroic life into
a gripping drama which climaxes in the story of Maximilian
Kolbe's martyrdom at Auschwitz. In this ninety-minute,
one man portrayal, Defilippis brings to life key characters
from the life and times of the saint, easily yet dramatically
slipping from one role into the other and alternating
between the good and evil.

Thérèse
The Story of a Soul
The life of Thérèse of Lisieux would have remained
buried in obscurity if she had not, under obedience, written
down her story before she died of tuberculosis in a convent
in France at the age of 24. This autobiography made
her the most beloved saint of our age, because she articulated
a way of life based in littleness and humility, trusting
simply in the mercy of God. Branching out from our
tradition of one-man dramas, Thérèse is a one-woman show.
The musical score is lyrical and moving, and performed
by a full orchestra.

"A powerful Show" -Christianity Today
The
Passion According to Luke
In a beautiful and honest performance taken directly from
scripture, Leonardo Defilippis re-enacts the death and
resurrection of Christ. The Passion opens with Jesus'
entry into Jerusalem and carries us through the Last Supper,
the Agony in the Garden, His death on the Cross, and finally
to the Resurrection. A majestic musical score enhances
the drama of the piece.
"Father,
if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; yet not
my will be done but thine" (Luke. 22: 42)

Saint John of the Cross: The Living Flame of Love
In Leonardo's warmly moving portrait, St. John of the
Cross is seen as a man in love with God, whose exquisite
poetry touches a chord in every heart that cries out for
a deeper relationship with our Beloved Lord. Although
his works have in the past been relatively unknown in
this country, Saint John of the Cross was the greatest
poet that Spain has ever known. Includes excerpts taken
from historical sources on the life of this Spanish Carmelite,
and selections from his beautiful poetry and prose.

The Confessions of Saint
Augustine
Leonardo Defilippis recounts the story of the conversion
of the brilliant Augustine of Hippo (354-430 AD),
caught for many years in a depraved and immoral existence,
blinded to the truth by his attachment to sin. In this
remarkably contemporary tale, Augustine lives for many
years with a mistress, who bears him a son. He also joins
a religious cult, suffers from intellectual pride, and
finally is irresistibly drawn to the truth of Jesus Christ.
This beautiful performance is a parable of the struggle
in the modern soul.

The
Song of Songs
It has been said that everything in the world
is not worth the day in which the Song of Songs was given
to Israel. Now this beautiful poem of love from the scriptures
has been dramatized in a professional video program for
modern audiences. In an idyllic natural setting, highly
acclaimed actors Leonardo and Patti Defilippis present
a prayerful meditation on the love of the bridegroom and
bride. Using a combination of music and dramatic interpretation,
they capture many levels of symbolic meaning in "the sublime
song."

The Gospel of John
Our latest drama, is the most ambitious one-man work
that we have ever attempted- it encompasses the entire
Gospel of John. The production is very innovative, since
its music, costume and sets combine the styles of both
the Roman Catholic and the Byzantine tradition. Leonardo
portrays an icon of Christ come to life. We pray that
by uniting these two beautiful traditions, this live drama
will be a pleasing offering to God for the unity of all
Christians. May there be one flock, united under one shepherd,
as Jesus states so clearly in the Gospel of John.
