Saint Luke Productions is dedicated to evangelizing and renewing
the culture through a Catholic vision focused in the dramatic
arts. Our mission is accomplished through the production, distribution,
and touring of live and recorded professional dramas, based on
historical, scriptural, and modern day stories that inspire audiences
to a deeper desire for the Truth of Jesus Christ, and through
the education and encouragement of artists and young people who
share, or are drawn to our vision. In accord with the teachings
of John Paul II and the Second Vatican Council, we believe that
a renewal of the culture depends upon a renewal of Catholic family
life. Our organization has been established within the context
of family, and with the purpose of encouraging a respect for the
family, both in our productions and in our work environment.
In 1980, Leonardo Defilippis was a Shakespearean actor who decided
to tour the country with a live, one man drama on the Gospel of
Luke. He embarked on a spirtual journey that led him to found
Saint Luke Productions, and produce dramas on GOSPELS OF LUKE
and JOHN, THE SONG OF SONGS, and on the lives of SAINT FRANCIS
OF ASSISI, JOHN OF THE CROSS, MAXIMILIAN: SAINT OF AUSCHWITZ,
and THE CONFESSION OF SAINT AUGUSTINE.
Since 1980, Saint Luke Productions has presented 1500 performances
for more than 500,000 people in the United States, Canada and
Europe. Our videos have won awards in the Chicago Film Festival,
the New York Film Festival, Cascade Film Festival, Cindy Awards
and most recently the FlagStaff Film Festival.
